An exciting recruitment opportunity have arisen for the position of Occupational Therapist Technician working within EquipU, the UK’s largest provider of assistive technology equipment, where you will report to the Stores & Distribution Manager.
You will be responsible for providing a vital service in the supply and installation of equipment utilised to provide an aid to daily living.
The main duties and responsibilities include, maintaining and repairing daily living aids and nursing equipment within clients’ homes, liaising with internal and external agencies including Social Work and Health personnel detailing tasks completed, whilst ensuring work undertaken complies with all elements of Health and Safety.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual, possess strong inter-personal and organisational skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively, accurately and confidently.
You should be able to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality at all times whilst using your initiative whenever required, have the ability to work alone, as well as part of a team, and have a flexible approach to the needs of the business.
Previous experience in working with vulnerable service users would be advantageous.
Possession of a full UK driving licence is essential.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
