Occupational Therapist – Full Time – North London
Your new company
You will be working for a busy local authority on the north of London.
Your new role
IN your new job, you will be carrying out the Initial assessment of service users with a presenting need following self – referral or referral from external agencies. You will also identify Safeguarding concerns, risk assess and refer where appropriate to services to manage risk of harm to service users and promote well-being. As an OT, you will be required to assess capacity and ability to make informed decisions relating to assessment process as per Care and Mental Capacity Act. You will also liaison with social care, health and partner services to provide client centred care.
Having the ability to provide service user’s with relevant advice and information as per the Care Act will also be a large part of your new role.
What you’ll need to succeed
A successful candidate will require;
– Diploma of the College of Occupational Therapy – BSc in Occupational Therapy
– Experience of working with people with a wide range of impairments
– Knowledge of the needs of older and disabled people
