Occupational Therapist
North West Locality – Tower Cluster
Salary: £35,936 – £42,492 per year
Hours: 36 per week

We are looking forward to welcoming a new Occupational Therapist to the North West Locality team. There are hybrid working options whereby you would have the opportunity to work from the comfort of your home or within the North West office working next to a team of supportive colleagues. The office is only 3.3 miles from the beautiful city centre of Edinburgh and the vibrant Stockbridge is only a 10 min drive away.
The role of the Cluster Community Occupational Therapist is to assess individuals in their own home to help them maintain independence in all aspects of their life, and support them to life their best life. This will include: –
– Assessing for and arranging adaptation to the environment and provision of compensatory equipment.
– Assessing for eligible support requirements, preparing person centred support plan’s and carrying out support plan review.
– Carrying out manual handling risk assessment and implementing handling plans.
– Joint working with other health professionals and partner providers including; Social Workers, Community Health Care Professionals, Care at Home Providers, Voluntary Providers and Colleagues in acute hospitals to ensure the right person provides the right care at the right time.
The post is based in a busy, friendly, supportive environment. It will be based mainly in the North West Cluster of Edinburgh covering South Queensferry, Murrayfield, Corstorphine, Barnton and Cramond.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
