An opportunity has arisen within the Council’s Health and Social Care Partnership for an Occupational Therapist within the Older People’s Team. You will arrange services for a broad client group affected by a wide range of disabilities. The successful applicant will be expected to function as part of an integrated team approach.
You must have a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Group (PVG) Scheme is essential. The successful candidate will be required to re-pay to the Council the fee for the PVG membership or update by payroll deduction

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.
Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £35,409.35 per annum.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children and protected adults.
Successful candidates will require PVG Scheme membership for Regulated Work with Children and protected adults, You will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment with Midlothian Council, the cost of which will be met by you.
