An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist within Glasgow GHSCP Connect. This service is a single point of access for Social Work Services within Glasgow HSCP. Changing the way we deliver services using an asset-based approach and have effective interface with partners and the 3rd sector. The service spans across Adults and Older People’s Services, Children and Families, Homelessness and Addictions, working in a multi-disciplinary way.
We are seeking an energetic, talented, resilient and committed Occupational Therapist to prevent long term involvement with statutory services where possible and provide excellent services to those who require it. You will have sound knowledge of assessment and care/ case management; have practiced extensively under the relevant legislation; and work in a person-centred manner which will be fully embedded in your practice. You will be confident in managing risk and looking for innovative ways to promote independence and link people into the local community. The post provides citywide support therefore as part of your role, although your work-base is Borron Street, you will work across the city.
Professional Occupational Therapy Qualification is essential as is registration to the Occupational Therapists professional body, The Health and Care Professions Council.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
