An opportunity has arisen within Scottish Borders, for a qualified Occupational Therapist, to work in the Berwickshire Social Care and Health Team, based at Duns, on a permanent, fulltime basis.
The successful post holder will provide an Occupational Therapy service to people with various different needs.
The role will also include care management duties and provide duty cover for the team – responding to telephone calls, office callers and unplanned contacts with other professionals.
It is essential that you have a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health Professionals’ Council.
The post requires a motivated person who is committed to working in Adult Services and shares the future vision for the development of services within an integrated Social Care and Health partnership.

The successful candidate will need to have the appropriate Occupational Therapy professional qualification and be registered with the SSSC or equivalent professional body.
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.*
* If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
