The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week). Part-time hours will be pro-rated accordingly.

An opportunity has arisen for a part time, Community Occupational Therapist to join our forward thinking, dynamic and integrated team based at Musselburgh Primary Care Centre. Our service is committed to developing effective and efficient ways of enabling people affected by disability to achieve their outcomes.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who is skilled in assessment, rehabilitation and adaptations. You will have sound knowledge of a range of medical conditions and how they affect a person’s ability to function in their home environment. You must be registered with the Health Care Professions Council.
The post holder will work closely with the Community Occupational Therapy team, Housing, Care and Repair, architects and contractors to progress major adaptations to owner occupied properties in the community. The role involves: advising on adaptation design in conjunction with the architect; agreeing adaptation designs and drawings with the client; prepare feasibility reports for adaptations and co-ordinate meetings with contractors, architect and Care & Repair Officer/Manager before and after adaptation works.
The post holder will also be involved in developing the service and ensuring a high standard of professional practice.

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to Dip/BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy.
Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Health Professions Council.
Driving Licence
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*
