The Occupational’ Therapy Service is committed to developing improved and innovative ways to provide effective and efficient services to improve outcomes for those service users affected by disability or illness. The post is based in Belhaven Hub within the Access and Rehabilitation service in East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership and you must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
The Occupational Therapy Service within East Lothian Council is committed to developing innovative ways to provide effective and efficient services to improve outcomes for those service users affected by disability or illness.
The post holder will be responsible for assessing the needs of individuals of all ages, including children living in the East Lothian Area. You should have knowledge of a wide range of medical conditions, manual handling techniques and major adaptations.
To provide a responsive and needs led Occupational Therapy service, ensuring appropriate services are provided to meet clients’ needs in accordance with the Council’s statutory obligations and department policies and procedures

Educated to Dip/BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy.
Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Health Professions Council.
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*

This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
