NEW TO CARE – CARE AND/OR SUPPORT WORKER Full Time

Hays Social Care are currently recruiting new to care candidates in Leicester. No experience is required.

Your new company
We are actively recruiting candidates across Nottingham to join HAYS Social Care as a social care professional. With the current candidate struggle in the social care market, at HAYS we have enrolled out a new to care scheme giving all candidates, who have zero experience but a caring, methodical approach to working with an eagerness to learn and develop their current practical skills, a chance to get started!

As a new to care candidate, you will be enrolled onto our mandatory HAYS Social Care trainings programme. Offering yourself the opportunity to complete FREE e-learning training courses which are CPD accredited and endorsed by Skills for Care. As a new to care candidates, you will also be provided with onsite shadowing and/or an induction prior to your placement start. Learning and development processes i.e., personal development plans will also be put into place as part of your progression within the industry.

Your new role
Upon successful completion of your application, you would be required to work a minimum of 16 hours per week. The work provided by Hays Social Care would be either in any of the following provisions: residential and/or nursing, semi-independent, supported living, community care. Listed below are some of the job duties which your role may include:

1. Supporting individuals and their carers using a reablement approach to remain in their designated environment improving their quality of life
2. Assessing service users’ needs and a completing a care plan for the individual when required
3. Maintaining accurate and appropriate records in service users care plans and updating office records and systems accordingly
4. Supporting individuals with their personal care, medication prompts, light meal preparation / drinks, shopping and practical emotional support problems

What you’ll need to succeed
In terms of the vetting process, you will be required to meet the below schedule 2 requirements. These requirements are in line with our safer recruitment policy which also adheres to the CQC and Ofsted requirements.

1. Ability to provide a CV backdated to the age of 18 with all reason for leaving listed for social care specific roles
2. One Employment and one character reference
3. Right to work in the UK documents
4. 2 Proof of addresses (dated within the last three months)
5. Proof of National Insurance Number
