West Dunbartonshire Council are seeking to recruit two Neighbourhood Officers to provide a mobile proactive and responsive service to tenants and residents living in our high density housing stock across the authority.
As part of the Housing Operations team within the Housing & Employability section of the Regeneration, Environment & Growth directorate, the Neighbourhood Officers supervise a team of Neighbourhood Assistants, offering a reassuring presence to our tenants and residents by carrying out pro-active patrols, inspecting Fire Safety doors and equipment, ensuring our stock is free of hazards and obstructions. They are also be involved in the smooth running of the other facilities provided to our tenants and residents.
A key component of this post is to work in conjunction with our revised Anti Social Behaviour Teams by offering a reassuring presence throughout the day and evening.The post is operated through a shift pattern of four on, four off, working between 13.00hrs to 00.00hrs.
The service is provided 365 days per year and successful applicants will be expected to work on Public Holidays and paid leave in-lieu will be offered. The post attracts the standard shift allowance and unsociable hours elements.
Please note it would be desirable for successful candidates to have the ability to operate a council supplied vehicle.
