24 hours per week
Temporary apprenticeship for a period of up to 12 months
£18,371 – £19,790 pro rata (including Distant Islands Allowance)

An opportunity has arisen for motivated young people to undertake a modern apprenticeship in Health and Social Care gaining experience in various locations and services within Orkney Health and Care.

These vacancies are restricted to applicants who currently live in Orkney and who meet the criteria for a Modern Apprenticeship.

This is an exciting opportunity which will offer a structured and supported development in different care/support settings, as well as offering funded attendance at Orkney College to undertake a formal SVQ 2 qualification.

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic individuals who can demonstrate the essential requirements that they have a caring nature, a willingness to work flexibly, have an ability to use own initiative, and are keen to learn and develop as they have a genuine interest in a career in health and social care.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
