Your new role
This is a terrific opportunity! The Recovery and Wellbeing Team (RWT) at Essex Partnership University Trust have three exciting permanent social worker posts. The successful candidates will gain experience in varied and challenging Adult Social Care within the Mental Health Team, seconded from Southend City Council to EPUT. Within this position, hybrid working opportunities are available, however a flexible approach is required as you will be required to be on site and travel around the borough, as and when needed. The RWT has a passion for ensuring quality social work practice and working with partners to make sure commissioned services are safe, fit for purpose and lead on safeguarding enquires to support people to live lives free from harm. The successful candidate will work as part of multi-disciplinary team to support people to live full lives whilst managing a case load. Within this position, you will receive a full induction, regular supervision and a robust training schedule is available for all.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you need to be a 2 years post qualified social worker who is registered with SW England. Previous experience within Mental Health is beneficial and you need to have completed your ASYE. You will ideally have experience in working within a local authority setting and be able to demonstrate your commitment to effective team working. As a social worker you will need to have: – excellent communication skills; be proficient with using various computer systems and programmes; a good manager of time and be able to work under pressure working experience of knowledge of working with adults and older people; experience of safeguarding; and experience of undertaking Mental Capacity Act assessments.
