Mental Health Social Worker – Lewisham – Lewisham, Greater London Temporary

Experienced Mental Health Social Worker needed for Neighbourhood 2 Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT). Based in a bustling community hub a stone's throw from New Cross, with excellent public transport links, this position offers an opportunity to engage with our diverse and vibrant local community. Our mental health social workers in PCMHTs work alongside NHS colleagues triaging referrals and undertaking assessments, engagement and brief interventions and leading on statutory intervention including Care Act assessments and safeguarding. The successful candidate will have: – experience of adult mental health casework in a community mental health setting – strong assessment and engagement skills – knowledge of clinical and social issues and the management of risk in relation to mental health service-users – experience of working within the statutory framework of the CA 2014, MHA 1983 and MCA 2005. – the ability to manage a caseload in an integrated multi-disciplinary service undertaking fast-moving casework and regular MDT duties on rota. – experience of carrying out a range of assessments and interventions including adult safeguarding
