Mental Health Social Worker – Bristol City Centre, Bristol Temporary NEW

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an agency Social Worker to temporarily join Bristol City Council's Adult Social Care Mental Health Assessment and Review Service to work alongside our partners Bristol Mental Health to support discharge of service-users from acute psychiatric hospital beds.
full time only.

Hybrid working role.

Rate £32-35ph Ltd

Interviews via MS Teams.

In terms of allocation usually one complex case per week, possibly two when there is a need. They would need to visit, assess under the care act and (if required the mental capacity act and write up assessment(s) and support plan(s) within that week. Our workers attend the above hospitals in person and then connect with other out of area hospitals via digital communication. The successful applicant would also be on a duty rota to cover our phone line and do duty tasks – in real terms this would work out to less than one day a week.

Social Work Qualification, experience in Mental Health essential, experience of doing Care Act (2014) Assessments and being Lead Worker in s.42 Safeguarding enquiries.
