Swansea – Male Support Worker – Shift Work – Learning Disabilities
Your new company
My Client is a well known not for profit organisation that supports and provides care for vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.
They are currently in need of Male Support Workers for one of their residences in Gowerton, Swansea. It is a small residence that is home to adult males living with learning disabilities.
Your new role
In this role you will be part of a team that is responsible for the every day care of the gentlemen living in the home. You will be required to support the service users in everyday activities, such as cooking and cleaning, providing support with finances and supporting service users out in the community. there may also be elements of personal care to be undertaken in this role.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will need at least 6 months experience, within the last 2 years to be considered for this role. you will be needed to understand the basics of providing support to vulnerable adults, so experience working alongside adults with learning disabilities of mental health problems is essential.
You must also be eligible to work in the UK and be able to provide reference details from your last 2 employees.
You must have a caring and empathetic nature, and be able to support vulnerable people with compassion and understanding..
