Your new role
A Support Worker’s day is always varied and your role may involve:
You will be joining a team which supports people with mild learning disabilities predominantly within our supported living service. Our aim is to give the people you will be supporting as much control over their own lives as possible.This is a responsible role which is really varied, can be challenging and is extremely rewarding, the job is all about giving people encouragement, guidance and support so they can live as independently as possible and have the freedom to make their own choices.
What you’ll need to succeed
My client is looking for people who genuinely enjoy making a positive difference in people’s lives.
You will need to be approachable, motivated, kind and a good listener. We need people who are good communicators who can work alone and as part of a team, people who can problem solve and maintain boundaries in a positive and sensitive way.
Importantly, the post will require flexibility to complete shifts including days, weekends and nights and sleep ins.
We don’t ask for specific qualifications but do require at least 6 months experience in a care setting. We ask that you have the compassion and integrity to treat people with dignity and respect.
