We are working with a well established children’s organisation who operate nationally in supporting children and young people. They offer specialist placements to children with mental health and learning disabilities and also offer placements for children who may have suffered trauma.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this role will provide direct, and hands on, operational and commercial leadership for a team of Service Managers in a geographical area so as to ensure:
The delivery of high quality support to Service Users
Clear leadership across a geographical area
The recognition of, and development of, Service Users to their full potential, whilst ensuring that the services in which they reside are fully compliant with the Company’s statutory obligations and within agreed budgets.
That there is organic growth in the services delivered within the existing geographical area.
Provision of high quality services whilst maximising EBITDA
We are looking for
To ensure the full occupancy of services.To be responsible for ensuring the completion of assessment of service user referrals within 2 days of the enquiry.
To review and monitor the eligibility criteria and charging policies against which services will be provided.
To ensure that all services are personalised and tailored to meet individual need.
To coordinate the functioning of services across the region to ensure consistency of approach across the region.
To take lead responsibility in ensuring services are fully resourced through effective recruitment management which ensures agency costs are kept to a minimum.
To improve and enhance all management systems and operating processes to seek out operational savings.
To improve efficiencies without compromising quality or safety of Service Users or staff.
To establish continuous improvement processes within the service area and to ensure they are regularly conducted.
What you’ll need to succeed
Substantial experience at a senior management level. LD/Social Care Managerial background in residential, supported living and outreach services. Proven track record in business development and managing occupancy effectively. Previous management responsibility for profit and loss in Social care sector Previous experience in practice development Multi-site management experience. Able to delegate appropriately. Able to motivate and lead staff under stress and remotely across a geographical area Able to deal with conflict Able to recruit, select and appoint staff Able to deal with disciplinary matters Able to succession plan Able to encourage a culture of open management Able to exercise authority in ways which promote the best interests of service users and ensure the smooth running of the service
