Lead Officer Community Justice (within Criminal Justice in Childrens’ Services)
35 hours, temporary until 31.3.2022 (potential for extension based on confirmation of ongoing funding)
Based in Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in Renfrewshire, assisting Renfrewshire Community Planning Partnership in bringing together and supporting the range of partner agencies responsible for ensuring appropriate provision to address re-offending in Renfrewshire. This includes the provision of the Renfrewshire Community Justice Improvement plans to Community Justice Scotland, review of plans and regular reporting in line with the National Strategy, the National Quality Assurance Framework and local outcomes frameworks.
You will support funding bids, lead on focussed short life working groups, establishing effective systems for liaison and feedback in relation to progress against national and local objectives, and organise local consultation events.
It is essential that you have experience of working within a justice social work or community justice setting, of writing strategic plans, engaging with senior managers, of multi-agency working and of data gathering and analysis. Experience of producing written work to a high standard within tight deadlines is also essential, as are effective time management and organisational skills.
Education to degree standard or equivalent is desirable, as is experience of the organisation of multi-agency events, undertaking strategic needs analysis, commissioning services or developing a commissioning strategy and experience or a qualification is working with statistical data. A current driving license is also desirable as the post will require travel out with Renfrewshire.
SSSC registration is required for this post.
