The post holder will take a lead role in enabling Shetland’s Public Protection Committee (SPPC) to discharge their core responsibilities and key objectives as required by Statute and Scottish Government Guidance, working in collaboration with the Chair to promote and develop partnership working between all agencies involved in the care and protection of children and adults at risk in Shetland, ensuring that a person centred focus is developed and maintained. The post holder will report to the Chief Social Worker Officer.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has a working knowledge of protection work and is confident in leading the work of the SPPC. The individual will abide by the Council’s values by providing excellent service, taking personal responsibility and working well together.
