Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older people? Our dynamic teams of dedicated professionals working in Older People’s Services are seeking a Lead Officer who will take charge of developing strong practice and partnerships, ensuring positive outcomes for service users/carers, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
As the Lead Officer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including community organisations, key partners, and government agencies. Your expertise and ability to build strong partnerships will be instrumental in creating a seamless network of support for the Older People population of Angus.
You will play a crucial role in achieving positive outcomes for service users/carers. Your innovative approach to care management, coupled with your deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of older people, will shape, and deliver practice to support personalised care plans that promote independence, well-being, and quality of life. You will also deliver a robust scrutiny of practice relating to adult protection to promote positive outcomes for service users. In addition, you will actively demonstrate, promote, and uphold values-based practice and deliver fair and evidence-based decision making.
We take regulatory and legal compliance seriously and as the Lead Officer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that our services meet all necessary requirements. From keeping up to date with changing regulations to implementing best practices, your attention to detail will be paramount in maintaining the highest standards of care and service delivery.
You will work closely with the Service Leader, Team Managers, and operational teams to lead, manage, develop, and motivate staff. You must have extensive knowledge and experience at a senior level of social work services and demonstrate you have the skills and knowledge to be able to make decisions which support our policy framework, standards, and service priorities.
A professional social work or nursing qualification is essential for this post.
