Based within the Mile End Centre in Paisley, you will manage and lead multi-disciplinary teams providing Care at Home services. You will be responsible for the overall management of directly provided services for adults and older people, ensuring the effective safe care is in place for service users and that all training and professional development needs for multi-disciplinary team members are met.
In this key operational and strategic role, you will manage internal Care at Home services. You will be responsible for ensuring delivery of these services and their ongoing development, including service registration, budget management, workforce planning, organisational development, recruitment and selection, policies and procedures whilst supporting governance and opportunities for continuous improvement in line with the HSCP’s Strategic and Financial Plans.
It is essential that you are educated to degree level or hold a professional qualification in Social Work, Health or equivalent. An SVQ level 4, registered Managers Award is desirable. It is essential that you have proven experience of managing demanding and complex services and demonstrable experience of leading, large multidisciplinary teams; people management skills; management of information resources and data; proven experience of managing finance and budgets; evidence of performance management together with the development and delivery of strategic planning to deliver organisational goals.
You will possess an understanding of all aspects of adult and older people’s services, the issues impacting these services and service/integration delivery model along with a strong understanding of organisational change management philosophies, tools and techniques. You will have demonstrable experience of challenging existing ways of working and promoting and leading improved practice as part of wider service improvement. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to analyse complex information, problems and solutions and an understanding of equalities in relation to the delivery and development of services.
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to tailor communications depending on the audience and the ability to develop effective working relationships with managers, staff and other stakeholders. You will work well on your own initiative and resolve conflict situations. You will have a proven track record of staff management and organisational skills and an understanding of current pressures facing public services. You must have a working knowledge of MS Office suite and other relevant IT systems. Experience of managing a post as a registered manager is desirable but not essential.
