Hourly Rate: £12.20 – £13.54

We are looking for a dedicate individual to join our team- Homelessness and Financial Inclusion Team.
As a Housing Support Officer you will provide high quality community based housing support to people who are homeless and/or potentially homeless. In accordance with the Council’s Housing Support Duty you will assess the housing support needs of individuals and develop support plans which meet their particular needs and support their progress towards the individual’s desired outcomes.
The Housing Support Team operate within the geographical area of the Scottish Borders.
Interviews will be held via Microsoft Teams on Monday 6th September 2021.
Where this is a requirement for the successful candidate to work from home as part of the role you will be provided with the necessary IT equipment by the Council, however, you will be responsible for the provision of any required furniture.
Applicants must be educated to HNC in Health and Social Care
Applicants must have 3 years relevant work experience
Applicants should be educated to a higher standards in English and possess reasonable numerical skills.
Applicants should be willing undertake training to meet the SSSC registration requirements for Workers in a housing support service.
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.*
