Housing Options & Assessment Supervisor (Fixed Term)

£34,023 – £36,540

Due to increased service demands an opportunity has arisen for a Supervisor in the Housing Options and Homeless Team. 

You will be part of our Housing Options and Homeless Section team with responsibility for supervising, monitoring, and overseeing a team of Housing Options and Homeless Officers and Assistants throughout Dumfries and Galloway. You will assist the Co-Ordinator to ensure the service  implements legislation, guidance, and procedures, providing advice on Homeless prevention including Housing Options and ensuring Homeless applications are taken and decision made on these.

You should have relevant knowledge of Homeless responsibilities, legislation, and regulations.  You must be a strong leader who is resilient and has a flexible approach to work.  You can work well in a team environment and on your own initiative.

A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.

This post is subject to a Baseline Personnel Security Standards check, and this includes candidate vetting through Disclosure Scotland.

This post is fixed term for up to 24 months.  This post may be suitable for attachment.  Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post.
