To provide an effective customer focused assessment service. Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to relate to peoples housing situation in a sympathetic manner. Applicants should have knowledge of housing and associated legalisation. You will need to be organised and methodical to manage a complex and varied work load.  You will have excellent communication, negotiation and problem solving skills to find solutions for those facing housing problems.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the busy Housing Needs Service and you will be able to contribute to developing the service and have opportunities to develop your own ideas and initiatives to meet the challenges ahead.

The post also involves supporting vulnerable applicants and raising awareness of relevant welfare and benefits support, also making appropriate referrals to other support services and agencies.

You will require to be mobile throughout the Council area.

This post is temporary until March 2025 due to service requirement.
