Housing needs officer required to join the Birmingham City Council Team

Broken up into regional areas, the housing management teams look to provide an effective service to all of their tenants, ensuring they receive the full support that is required.
Your new role
You will be working with the housing options team who are working with a large number of cases from the fallout of COVID 19. Your role will be servicing a group of tenants by location to ensure all complaints/enquiries are handled correct and any conflict is resolved in a calm and correct manner. The role it self will allow working from home, but as we start to see further relaxation of the lockdown rules, you will be required to work in the office from time to time. As per social distancing guidelines any inspections will be a doorstep inspection, following relevant risk assessments.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have prior experience of managing a caseload of property applications/inspections, being able to effectively manage the procedure of closing cases through liaising with tenants, taking photos of issues, uploading and utilising the selected system correctly and accurately writing letters addressed to tenants. You will also be required to be a driver due to the allowance once again of visiting tenants.
