You will provide an effective customer focused assessment and housing options service to clients of the Housing Needs Service. This includes the assessment of all homeless applications to ensure that the Council meets its statutory duty in respect of homeless people and the provision of comprehensive housing options advice to prevent and alleviate homelessness. This post also involves the assessment of housing support needs of homeless people who apply for housing to ensure that appropriate housing and support options are identified. You will be able to prioritize workloads, work under pressure and work in a team with minimal supervision. You will require to be mobile throughout the Council area.
