Renfrewshire Council Environment, Housing & Infrastructure Directorate is looking to recruit a Housing Client Maintenance Manager to head up the team responsible for the delivery of repairs and maintenance to the Council’s 12,500 Council houses. This is a key strategic post within the Housing Asset and Investment team which will require to work closely with other lead officers across Environment, Housing & infrastructure to ensure that properties are maintained in line with the Asset Management Strategy.
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of repairs and maintenance strategy and policy, including the determination of programmes, and the management of revenue expenditure within responsive, void, planned replacement and cyclical categories. You will prepare reports and financial information for senior management which will incorporate performance management, budget control, quality and customer satisfaction. You will be required to work closely with our internal Building Services team and manage external contractors involved in the delivery of the service.
You will be able to exhibit continuous personal development, with proven experience of delivering effective approaches to problem solving and high quality, customer focussed services including developing and implementing policy and procedure.
You will hold a recognised qualification in a related discipline OR extensive experience in a related role including, knowledge of procurement practice, managing budgets, management of repairs contracts and planned maintenance programmes involving complex repair and maintenance issues, preparing reports, and identifying and delivering service improvements.
Understanding of relevant Health and Safety Legislation and procedures relating to housing and building maintenance, numeracy skills with the ability to create spreadsheets and produce financial information and proven project and performance management skills are also essential.
