As the main contact point and co-ordinator of telephony contact for the Housing Services Team, the post holder will support the Housing Services Team to deliver a high level service to residents and applicants and ensure general office duties are completed timeously.
Although this role will be predominantly office/admin based, the successful candidate will be expected to use this opportunity to gain a wide range of housing experience in preparation for applying for future vacancies within the team, this may require external visits therefore a driving licence is desirable. The role will also include delivering housing options advice in an efficient, courteous manner, and directing housing queries as appropriate for resolution, this will involve face to face contact with customers, dealing with telephone enquiries, generating email / mail and other documents.
The jobholder must have previous experience of working in housing or an associated field and be able to demonstrate they have knowledge of housing options available and Local Authority’s policy and procedure and a range of intervention for social needs of tenants.
Knowledge of MS Office or similar Spreadsheet and Word processing applications essential. Experience of Capita, W2, Integra desirable.
Homepoint Level 2 or 2 Highers, including English, or SVQ equivalent combined with necessary experience. A diploma in Housing Studies is a desirable qualification.
