Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Home Care OOH Co-Ordinator working within the Home Care Service, where you will report to the Area Operations Manager.
The Home Care Service provides support to predominantly vulnerable service users across Glasgow.
As a Home Care Co-ordinator, you will be the first point of contact for Home Carers, service users and family members, escalating issues as appropriate to the Area Operations Manager.
You will be required to prepare and maintain Personal Support Plans for service users in your area and carry out workplace observations of your home care team, ensuring a high quality service is being provided, which meets the Health & Social Care Standards.
There are times where you be required to undertake Home Care duties to support service users and your team. Applicants must possess good Organisational and Communication skills, coupled with the ability to monitor, co-ordinate and supervise the work of a group of Home Carers, providing advice, guidance and support.
A knowledge of IT systems including word and excel would be advantageous.
Experience of working with vulnerable service users in a care setting is required.
Applicants should be qualified, working towards or have the ability to undertake and attain a qualification at SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and a relevant management qualification (SCQF level 7) to meet the requirements of registration to the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Please note as part of the local government pay deal, local authority staff are currently not required to pay SSSC fees.

Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
