SA19 – Support Worker – Fixed Term Contract
Your new company
A large 90 Acre farm that has been transformed into a 4 house residential setting for adults with Learning Disabilities, my client is looking to take on Full Time Support Workers on a permanent basis. They are not for profit organisation that is dedicated to providing excellent care and support to the adults within the service. The large farm allows service users to be active within the grounds, spending as much time outdoors that they can.
Your new role
You will be expected to join the team in supporting service users in 1 of 4 houses. You will aid in support them to live full lives, maintaining independence and helping with day to day activities. Due to the rural setting of the residence, you will be active with the service users outside, enjoying the farm and its especially equipped facilities for outdoor activities.
The role is a full time contract of 37.5 hours a week that will be consistent of morning and afternoon shifts, long days and sleep in shifts (paid at a specific rate). You will need to be open and flexible to a number of shift patterns.
Due to the location of the setting, it will be desirable for you to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.
Training will be provided by the home.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this job role you will be required to have had at least 6 month experience in a social care setting with in the last 2 years.
Access to your own vehicle is desirable.
You will need to have eligibility to work in the UK and have ability to send proof of residence and eligibility via email.
