An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an innovative team within North Ayrshire HSCP. The Family Centred Wellbeing Service was introduced in November 2021, and we are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic practitioners to support families across all of North Ayrshire, including our island communities on the Isles of Cumbrae and Arran. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals and devise multi-agency care plans, focused on early, preventative, interventions for children of primary and secondary school age, and their families. In addition to training provided by the HSCP, colleagues in Education will provide opportunities for training, learning and development on several approaches that promote positive health and wellbeing for children and families supported by the team.
The service is passionate about improving outcomes for young people and we are committed to strengths-based and innovative practice that seeks to empower families, reducing the need for longer-term social services intervention. We do this by adopting approaches such as Signs of Safety and Safe and Together. Training will be made available on these approaches. We are also well on in our journey to #Keep the Promise. Finally, the role will encompass providing support to children and families where issues around neurodiversity is present. Therefore, experience working in this area would be valuable, however, training will also be made available in this regard.
For more details, see the attached Role Profile below and/or contact Patrick Farren (Team Manager, 01294 315 440, [email protected])
