Hays have partnered with Birmingham Children’s trust to support with their recruitment for 4 Family Support Workers.to deliver excellent social work and family support with the city’s most vulnerable children, young people and families.
Your new role
As a Family Support Worker , you will undergo an initial period where you will be fully briefed on all policies and procedures. After this you will be allocated your own case files. Day to day you will spend time with the children and their parents, carrying out play activities, discussing behavioural issues and helping the parents to support the children in the best possible way. Roles available at Readmeadow / Park Road / Chinnbrook / and Ladywood sites.
What you’ll need to succeed
You must have worked in a similar position before, ideally with children, young people and their families. The successful applicant will have an at least 6 months relevant experience in Family support worker role, be able to provide 2 recent referee’s and will ideally Hold a qualification in Family Support (Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce) and have had your last placement within a children’s social work setting.
