EXPERIENCED OT – OPTIMISING CARE – WILTSHIRE

Following a successful initial project Wiltshire are expanding their small team promoting single handed care by optimising the way care is delivered through training and the provision of equipment.
Your new role
As an experienced occupational therapist, you will complete moving and handling risk assessments and reviews, finding innovative solutions to support person centred practice and achieve best value.You will work with the advanced occupational therapist to plan and deliver with domiciliary care providers and other health and social care staff to promote confidence in single handed moving and handling techniques.Wiltshire are looking for two occupational therapists with significant knowledge and experience of moving and handling in the community. Ideally, you will have experience in training others. Wiltshire will support you to attend specialist training on single handed care and support your training to become a moving and handling trainer.
What you’ll need to succeed
Registered with HCPC as an occupational therapist you will have at least two years’ experience working in social care and a sound knowledge of social care and moving and handling legislation and guidance. You will be based in West Wiltshire.If you share our passion for making a difference, have vision and creativity, we look forward to hearing from you!
