An opportunity has arisen for an Equipment Stores Service Manager to join Glasgow City Health Social Care Partnership’s (GHSCP) Community Equipment Service, where you will report to the Technical Operations Manager.
You will be responsible for the management of one of the UK’s largest Assistive Technology operations. GHSCP operates the Community Equipment Service on behalf of the Equipu partners, which consists of six local authorities and Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS.
The Service is also responsible for the provision of stairlifts and track hoists to a further seven public sector organisations throughout Scotland.
The main duties and responsibilities will include effectively managing a team of managers and supervisors to ensure a high standard of service is provided in relation to stores and distribution, asset management through service, maintenance and thorough examination of equipment and customer service.
You will also be responsible for ensuring all services are accessible through a web-based IT system, which is accessed by over 2,000 health and social care professionals to order essential equipment for vulnerable service users.
You will also be responsible for leadership, support and management of a wide range of staff groups and individuals.
You will be a motivated individual with excellent IT and leadership skills and will have the ability to manage performance and productivity levels, which are dictated by the needs of the service.
As the Equipment Stores Service Manager, you will have knowledge of the field of community equipment, stairlifts and track hoists and have the ability to deliver on projects and initiatives.
The successful candidate will be required to liaise with multi agency partner groups as well as internal and external customers, therefore, excellent verbal and written communication skills are important.
