Early Help Family Support Practitioner – Temporary Full Time

Southend Council are looking to appoint a temporary, full time Early Help Support Practitioners.

You will be required to support Homes for Ukraine /Ukraine Family programmes and Afghanistan Resettlement programme.

Within this position, you will be required to work extensively with families, to support the programmes and to improve outcomes for the children and their families. There will be a need to provide and deliver inclusive interventions packages, working in conjunction with communities and relevant departments. Ensuring that the work programmes and interventions are age appropriate and meet the needs of the whole family and the wider community. Holding a caseload of families, you will provide full and thorough support of families and children, build and maintain positive relationships with schools, stakeholders and communities and gain commitment to the families.
As well as working extensively with the families to support and improve outcomes for their children.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will need to be qualified to degree level and/or relevant professional qualification in social care: education: health or related field and have substantial relevant experience of working with children, young people and families.
Having a basic understanding of the Homes for Ukraine and Ukrainian Family Visa Programmes is essential. Knowledge of current legislation and local policies would be beneficial along with excellent communication and organisation skills.
