Family Support Worker, Fixed Term Contract
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Early Help Family Support team in a fixed term capacity until 30th October 2023.
The role involves supporting families in Southend, using restorative practise and principles, to bring about change and help families achieve their support outcomes. An Early Help Practitioner will work with families to complete restorative whole assessments, collaborate with families to produce Family Plans and work with a range professionals to help the family achieve their support goals.
The roles involves working with adults and children in the family as a lead professional, which includes arranging and chairing multiagency family meetings. The Early Help team has been successful in delivery the Supporting Families programme and offers a range of interventions and programmes for families.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have proven experience of working with adults and children in a lone working environment, as many interventions are delivered in the community and family home .
You should have experience of completing assessments and plans with families which support change and promote better family wellbeing. It would be advantageous to have knowledge of the Supporting Families Programme and be able to evidence your knowledge of outcome based working .
You will need to flexible in your approach and there is an expectation to work outside usual office hours to offer the support needed by families. Whilst degree level education is desirable consideration will be given to relevant experience
