To be a member of the Protection and Learning Team with the lead role to support digital media development, cyber awareness and e safety. To scope and develop a range of options and activities in relation to these areas ensuring systems are in place for identifying risks, quality assurance, self-evaluation and learning. This will be in line with National Policy and legislation relevant to public protection and cyber safety and security. To protect and promote the welfare and wellbeing of children, families and communities in order to support the promotion and delivery of the Protection and Learning Team priorities around Digital Transformation, cyber safety, internet safety and digital communication. This will include the key objectives as identified within the East Ayrshire Adult Protection Committee, Child Protection Committee Delivery Plans and wider Council Community Plan.
The duties of this post requires access to the public sector network and therefore the successful applicant must complete a basic Disclosure Scotland application. A formal offer of employment with East Ayrshire Council will only be made once satisfactory clearance has been received. Any information that is disclosed on a basic disclosure will require to be discussed before a formal offer of employment is made.

This is a 30hr per week part time post based within Public Protection team at the Johnnie Walker Bond, Kilmarnock
Annual Salary £18,688- £20,389 per annum
This is a temporary post initially until 19 September 2022.
