We are looking for caring, compassionate, creative and proactive people to join our team as a Development Worker. This is a brand-new post with the Learning Disability Service Day Opportunities Team, based at Trindlemoss in Irvine. As a Development Worker you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the people we support to enable them to achieve their personal outcomes. You will build a positive working relationship with the people we support and their families and carers and will work as part of a team to ensure the best possible experience for each individual. No two days will be the same, we will tailor our approach to the individuals we support. This could mean facilitating a group activity or providing one to one assistance. It could mean working in our base at Trindlemoss or working alongside our partners in other areas of North Ayrshire. As part of Trindlemoss we are building our community café that offers people the opportunities to train and gain skills in all aspects of catering and running a business. We would be keen to hear from anyone who has experience in catering, training and supporting individuals in this field as well as people who share our values and believe in the strengths and talents of individuals.
