Development Officer – Holiday support for children with a disability
Salary: £44,934 – £53,781
Hours: 36 per week
This post is fixed term until 31st March 2023.
An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for a Development Offer to develop a sustainable model of holiday support for children with a disability.
The post holder will work with the Playscheme co-ordinator to lead and/or contribute to the strategic plan to ensure that the needs of children with a disability and their families are met over school holiday periods.
The post-holder should have a strong background in leading multi-agency teams to drive strategic and sustained improvement for children and young people with complex additional support needs. They also need to have experience of engaging with children with a disability and their families and be have very good communication skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to deliver significant improvements to the outcomes for young people and their families in ensuring positive and sustained holiday support provision.
The post holder needs to be qualified to degree level.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. For roles in grade 5 or above, annual increments in our contribution zones are dependent on achieving agreed performance goals.
