As Coventry City Council’s recruitment partner I am looking for 1 x Deputy Manager for a Children’s Home – Grayswood Residential – Looked After Children – Through Edge & Edge of Care

Your new role

As a Deputy Manager for Coventry City Council you will support the registered manager ensuring the delivery and provision of a high quality children’s residential care 7-day service. You will also:

• Provide a safe environment for children and young people who are in need of protection or who exhibit challenging behaviours.

• Participate in an on-call rota within the service providing support where needed out of on-duty hours.
• Provide support to staff by identifying gaps in knowledge with the implementation of training plans.

What you’ll need to succeed

In order to be successful you will need to have experience in a similar post – extensive direct work with children and young people with challenging behaviours. You will also need to have a good understanding of the legal and policy context of residential child care.

You will need to hold a professional qualification relevant to working with children, which must be at minimum Level 3 NVQ.

It is essential that you are a driver with access to your own vehicle.
