Job Description

What is the role?
To support people regardless of age or disability to lead ordinary lives as laid out by the Scottish Executive’s National Care Standards. This will involve providing assistance to people with higher support needs and working as part of a staff team with direction from senior staff.

The Grade of this post is Grade 2 / Level 6, the hourly rate is from £14.15 to £15.17 and the annual salary is from £25,284 to £27,685.  Please note this post is temporary for 12 months.
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with vulnerable adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007.  Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.  If you wish further information on the PVG Scheme you can visit the Disclosure Scotland website at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk 
You may be required to meet the cost of PVG.
