This post is based at the Disability Resource Centre, 74 Love Street, Paisley PA3 2EA.

Reporting to the Centre Manager and adhering to the National Care Standards, you will be part of a multi disciplinary team providing day opportunities and group work support to adults with a physical disability/sensory impairment.

The main duties of the post will include: being a named worker for a number of physically disabled individuals; facilitating group work activities in response to customer needs and interests and providing physical assistance as required.

It is essential you have previous experience working with disabled individuals; have effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to complete and maintain care plans and participate in formal reviews; plan and deliver a range of group work activities; liaise with external agencies; work effectively in a team setting and adhere to deadlines.

Possession of an HNC in Social Care and /or SVQ Level 3 in Social Care is desirable or a demonstration of the willingness and ability to be assessed on practice towards an SVQ award.

Previous experience of working within Social Care; report writing, effective IT Skills and knowledge of physical/sensory/communication impairments is also desirable.
