Therapeutic Behaviour Specialist, Children & Young People, Swansea (DASHH Practitioner)

We are recruiting for a Therapeutic Behaviour Specialist for a large and well-established provider of care for Children and Young People. This position would work across the organisation, supporting other managers within the service. The organisation is built upon understanding and helping children, not just caring for them.

Your new role

You will be a Specialist Practitioner working across the organisation delivering and training staff, and support service users with their in-house trauma informed program. Your role will be to understand why instances where restraint occur, and help both staff and children move past these, and reduce them in future. The organisation has a foundation in helping and developing both its residents and staff, and you will be a key part of this.
What you’ll need to succeed

• Training with trauma-informed therapy
• Demonstrable experience working with children & young people
• Demonstrable experience in a residential or children’s setting
• Ability to drive a manual vehicle
• Experience with therapeutic approaches to care (advantageous)
