An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Domestic and Sexual Assault Team (DASAT) as a DASAT Worker.

You will have previous experience of working with individuals who are or have experienced domestic and or sexual abuse and understand the complexities of all forms of trauma and abuse and its impact on individuals and children. You will have the ability to work as part of a team and the ability to work in partnership with other statutory and third sector organisations, in order to promote the best interests of individuals and their children.

Ideally you will have excellent I.T. and communication skills.

You will have a good understanding of, and work from, a feminist analysis of violence against women.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
