An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide leadership and progress development within the Domestic and Sexual Assault Team (DASAT) as a team manager. You will also contribute to the gender based violence strategy and work closely with the lead officer and the other two team managers within the service. This is a short term post fixed for 1 year to support recovery from the pandemic and the associated increased referrals so you will work across both adults and children’s work.
You will have previous experience of working with individuals who are or have experienced domestic and or sexual abuse and understand the complexities of all forms of trauma and abuse and its impact on individuals and children. You will have a social work qualification and experience of supervising and leading teams.
You will have strong leadership skills with the ability to work in partnership with other statutory and third sector organisations leading on the strategic direction for the work of DASAT within West Lothian.
Ideally you will have excellent I.T. and communication skills.
