West Lothian Council’s Criminal and Youth Justice Service are looking to recruit 3 x 18 hours per week Criminal Justice Assistants to work within the Service and support the implementation of our Domestic Abuse group work programme. The successful candidates will be expected to facilitate group work and be involved in the management of diverse, complex and challenging cases including violent and sexual offenders. While primarily based within the Criminal Justice Throughcare Team, the successful candidates will however be expected to work across the wider Criminal and Youth Justice Service to meet the exigencies of the wider service. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Social Care; HNC/SVQ for Health Support Workers or other relevant qualification at a similar or higher level is desirable.
Working days to be confirmed however working on a Sunday will be an integral part of the post for which appropriate salary will be paid.
