Hays Social Care are looking for ‘Support Workers’ in Coventry to work on a permanent basis and willing to start immediately. Your new role
Your potential new role as a Support Worker requires you to be resilient, supportive and enthusiastic towards the children and their needs. You will need to be passionate about your role and committed to fulfilling your tasks as a Support Worker. As a Support Worker, you must become familiar and adhere to the policies and procedures of the home. You will be a part of a skilled and passionate team, so communication is pivotal amongst colleagues. You will be aiding the children towards an independent lifestyle with the necessary skills they need in order to integrate smoothly into society. You will also be helping the children to develop their educational and everyday skills. We are seeking Support Workers that are in the Coventry area, are flexible and willing to work 30-40 hours a week with an immediate start. This role requires you to be passionate about helping people and transforming lives to achieve fairness in society.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role as a Support Worker you must be Passionate, patient and committed to your role and the residents. You should be able to help the children reach their personal goals and learn skills they would need to live an independent life with aid of a care plan. You must be able to identify and analyse discrimination, racism, inequality and injustice and find the appropriate solution for these issues. You should be able to monitor the behaviour of the children and report any changes you notice. You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to assist the residents. You must be able to provide personal care where appropriate to young people/young adults whilst promoting their individual rights to respect, dignity and independence. As a Support Worker in this organisation, you should have a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care as well as understanding and being familiar with all relevant legislation guidance policies procedures in relation to safeguarding young people. You must have evidence of experience in the social care sector, alongside references and an updated DBS. Training is essential and alternatively Hays provide free online training. Overall to succeed you must be committed to your role and eager to make a difference.
