Falkirk Council and Falkirk Community Trust currently applies a living wage supplement to all employees earning less than £9.50 per hour. The value of the living wage supplement is subject to regular review by the Council and the Trust, is non-contractual and can be changed at any time.
A Cook is required within Dorrator Court, Housing with Care Complex to assist the senior cook, to cover days off and annual leave. The post requires the ability to complete food orders, draw up menus, simple cooking and serving of food and general kitchen and dining room duties, normally under the direction of a higher-grade operative. An ability to work shifts occasionally at short notice. An Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate is required. The post requires a team worker who can on occasions work to a tight timescale and under pressure.
You will 24 hours per week 8:00am – 5:00pm on a 6/14 basis.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
