Complex Needs Worker – Substance Misuse – Fixed Term Contract until March 31st – ASAP Start

My client is a Not for Profit who specialise in supporting individuals and communities tackle substance misuse problems through out Wales.

Your new role
In this new position you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Working alongside GP’s in the Swansea area to raise awareness of substance misuse and domestic violence.
• Deliver mobile needle exchange services
• Promote outreach campaigns
• Promote services and interventions and provide supported referrals to appropriate services
• Mediate on a service users’s behalf, for example by writing letters, making phone calls or attending meetings and providing supported referrals to related agencies
• Enter data onto the case management system, and use the system effectively to inform work with service users and concerned others

What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need experience of delivering harm reduction interventions to substance misusers and it would be desirable to have experience with Mental Health and Domestic Violence.
You will be available to interview and start in the position with a short notice period.
