To assist people with learning disabilities and/or complex needs to maximise the social and domestic skills necessary to enable them to live as independently as possible in the community.
Assist service users to manage personal care issues.
Provide assistance and guidance/training to service users in all household tasks.
Assist service users to manage all areas of finance; bank account, benefits, budgeting.
Attend meetings and ensure accurate record keeping
Experience which would give insight into working with adults with a learning disability.
Experience of handling cash
Ability to demonstrate a satisfactory level of literacy and numeracy
Ability to undertake household skills to a required standard.
Ability to record information accurately
Self confident and self motivated
Active listening and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with service users and staff at all levels
Ability to resolve problems and cope with day to day pressures

Effective organisational skills inc time management
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car/van.
